Demolition #2

Demolition #2

Yesterday I took down the two layers of ceiling tiles in the narrow hallway, opening the space back up to its original eight and a half feet.

The plaster ceiling is what you would expect: distressed from age, water-damaged in spots, sagging in places, but for 80+ years, not bad. In fact, better than we expected.

The wall between these two rooms will eventually disappear, as we open up the living room, second bedroom (which used to be a kitchen, decades ago), and the hallway into one living area.

What today holds I am not sure, but I don’t want to stop the momentum.
